• Cedrus

  • Cedrus is definitely “Tall, Dark and Handsome” and we expect him to perform true to his pedigree and conformation. His sire, Cunningham, won countless championship honors in the green, regular and conformation hunter divisions. Cunningham’s sire is the incomparable Cassini I. Both Cedrus’ sire and dam trace back to Calypso II. His dam’s sire, Contendor, competed internationally in the jumpers before his retirement. The dam’s side also traces to Merano and the M-line Holsteiners known for their lightness and forwardness under saddle.

As a foal, Cedrus earned a 9 for his movement. He still has the same freedom, suspension and balance today that will produce top level dressage horses. His tremendous scope and technique in the free jumping chute should also get passed on to his get. He has a quiet temperament and was started under saddle right here on the farm. We expect him to only improve as he matures. He already shows fantastic body control despite his extra-long legs and young age. We are looking forward to beginning his show career in 2016. He will head towards a career in the jumpers. His first foals will arrive in 2017.
