He has competed up to 1.40m in the jumper ring and is now changing his sights over to the equitation ring with a junior rider. He produces offspring who inherit his sweet and loving temperament. They are very trainable and athletic and are ideally suited for amateurs with the talent for a professional. They are versatile and are heading towards careers in dressage, hunter/jumper and eventing.
Cedar`s pedigree reads like a who’s who of the Holsteiner lines. He combines some of the most successful and well known C-Line horses with the rarer but equally successful M-Line horses. Cedar traces back to the preeminent sire Cor de la Bryere. Cedar`s grandsire, Caletto I, was a prominent jumper and sire both. He was a very successful Nation`s Cup jumper in Germany in the 80`s and was ranked 5th of the top sires of show jumpers by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses in 1999. On his dam`s side, Cedar traces to the Thoroughbred Marlon. Marlon was a very good producer of event horses in the 60`s and 70`s. He also shows up on the dam side of many of the most successful jumpers, including individual olympic silver medalist Calvaro V.
