Drusy is the youngest member of the broodmare band. She sustained a hock injury as a youngster and so is unable to be ridden. She is out of Opalescence, who traces her linage to some of the earliest Holsteiners we stood here on the farm. Her sire, Ink Jet, also stood with us for many years before his sale. She is a perfect combination of the solidly built, sound and amateur friendly warmblood with the lightness, athleticism and drive of the thoroughbred. Drusy is one of the sweetest horses we have ever had and is almost always the first one to greet you in the field. We expect her to pass this wonderful temperament on to her offspring making them ideal mounts for the amateur who wants to compete and also have an all-around horse. She has good conformation and three good gaits with excellent freedom in her shoulder. Both her sire and dam displayed a lot of scope under saddle and in the free jump chute and we expect her offspring to also possess that same athleticism and scope. She should be able to produce horses suitable for any discipline but should excel in producing event horses and jumpers.
