Maggie’s Menagerie is a family run farm specializing in breeding and training horses for the American market. Maggie and Abby have been raising Holsteiner and Oldenburg horses since the mid-80’s. We focus mainly on horses suited for the jumper and eventing markets but have produced others that have gone on to successful careers in the dressage and hunter worlds. Maggie was USEF leading breeder for event horses in 2011 and has finished in the top 25 leading breeders for jumpers multiple times including a 21st ranking in 2015 out of 492. Homebred Casibus (Conifer) was USDF 3yo Materiale Horse of the Year in 2012 with a score of 84%, the highest score in the country. We are very proud of the fact that our horses are American bred and raised, some of them now 3rd generation on the farm. In 2011, homebred Ben (Mr. Wizard) completed the Blenheim International Horse Trials in England. One of very few to complete a very wet and taxing cross country day. We also have several homebreds that have been brought along from birth to Grand Prix jumpers right here on the farm. Our secondary business is raising Tunis and Tunis/Suffolk cross sheep for wool, resale and meat. These sheep are kept in line with Maggie’s competition border collies. A third convenient addition to the farm is the on-site veterinary clinic run by husband and father Dr. Eric Sjoberg.
